Last night’s meal was brought to you by the letters G, M and the number 2. That’s for Grand-maman and the 2 containers of home-made spaghetti sauce she left in the freezer for me! Clever mom!
Sadly, I can’t share the recipe with you. She probably made it up as she went, anyways. But it had huge chunks of Italian sausage, bell peppers and mushrooms… and it was absolutely divine – most probably since I didn’t have to cook it myself.
And while I didn’t have to do too much cooking last night (boiling a pot of pasta doesn’t count) I did make us some delicious strawberry, blueberry, banana and avocado smoothies last night! Just don’t tell the kids there were avocados in there and we’re golden! I didn’t really follow a particular recipe: 2 frozen bananas, ½ cup fresh strawberries, 1 cup or so of frozen blueberries, 1 very ripe avocado, 2/3 cup of vanilla flavoured greek yogurt and a few splashes of 1% milk until everything was smooth enough to suck through a straw.
Serve and enjoy! We had leftovers, which the boys had for breakfast today. I may have tossed in some ground flax into those. Shhhh!
